Case Study 3

Back Office

A role-based admin tool enabling operators to manage content, promotions and workflows.

Challenge:

The platform experienced significant losses due to players exploiting promotional bonuses through coordinated or automated behavior.

Assumption:

A dedicated fraud monitoring back-office with behavioral indicators and investigation tools would allow operators to detect suspicious accounts earlier and reduce bonus abuse.

Scope of Work:

Design of a role-based admin platform focused on fraud detection and operational workflows, including behavioural risk indicators, account investigation tools and fraud alert mechanisms.

Goal:

Reduce fraudulent bonus exploitation by improving detection capabilities and operator efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

UX Research

Data Visualization

Information Architecture

Ideation

Validating & Testing

Project Summary

Result:

Bonus abuse decreased by 63% within three months of deployment.

Conclusion:

Suspicious accounts were automatically flagged based on activity patterns such as repeated bonus claims, shared device fingerprints, and abnormal gameplay behavior. Operators gained centralized tools to analyze player activity, identify linked accounts and quickly validate fraud signals. Automated alerts highlighted abnormal bonus activity, enabling operators to intervene before bonuses were fully exploited.
